Hello!
Can anyone recommend decent breast pads that will stem the flow a bit?
When I feed from one side, the other gushes with seemingly PINTS of the stuff! I lean forward and it falls out of me!
Using disposible pads at the mo and I'm fed up of being soggy the whole time.
Thanking you muchly for any recommendations!

You could try breast shells (link, which will collect the milk which you could freeze for future use.

I used reusable pads - Boots' own I think - no idea whether they are more absorbent than disposables or not but the more I washed them the better they got.

How old is your baby?

He's the grand old age of 10 whole days today!

How long have you been feeding for? It should sort itself out eventually but I remember it well! Try collecting it like tiger says but don't express or you'll end up producing more.

Sorry cross posted. It does get better and easier

I had huge problems with oversupply, and in my experience no breastpads helped stemmed the flow. Breastshells were great for helping to collect it (if you remember to sterilise them and have them ready, you can reuse the milk).

I found that the only way I could cope when around other people was to stuff a muslin cloth down my top and let it soak it up at first and then try and slip a breastshell in. When no one else was around, it was a large plastic cup catching the tidalwave.

How old is your dc? It should reduce over time. It was over a year for both my children, but I know other people who found it much better by 3 months.

I found that at about 3 weeks it stopped gushing. It didn't shoot across the room anymore!! After that breast pads were fine for me personally.
