hello, dd is 16 days old and bottle fed. last week she was feeding really well, every 4 hours and moving from 2 to 3 ozs. last couple of days she has seemed hungry but struggles to take more than 2ozs without falling asleep. seems to be struggling to get milk from bottle, any advice???

Has she been weighed, wheely?

weighed last friday, had gained 2ozs. think i'm having a bit of an anxious mummy moment. she seems to be having less milk now than a few days ago.

Have you tried a larger teat size? It can be exhausting sucking from the newborn teats, hence the falling asleep. If the teat is larger it may help her to take more without having to work quite so hard.

Also have you tries a "tactical nappy change"? I always found that this was enough to stir my ds to wake (plus walking up/down the stairs did a good job of winding him too!).

I hope things start to improve.
