HOW SORE!

There's probably been a thread about this b4, but DS bit my nipple tonight. When I shouted aarrrggghhh & no, he let go, looked at me and started crying.

After a couple of cuddles I lay him back down he looked at me, smiled and then was okay.

But how sore is two bottom teeth and a toothless gum!

Finished sounding off now.

ouch - I remember it well, and I only BF DS1 - and he'll be 5 in September - just wait until it's two top teeth and two bottom teeth

Oh both nipples cringing, perhaps will stop by then.

Pinch his nose then he will let go to breathe. Will soon realise he cant bite! My DS has four teeth and 2 more on the way. Has only nipped me a couple of times when he only had his 2 bottom teeth. VERY VERY sore, could have cried!!I did the nose thing and also sat him on the floor so he was totally away from me and knew that he wasnt to do it.It did work but I think it was sometimes take a couple of days for them to realise its wrong. Have you got any cream for your nipples?

DS now has 12 teeth and only bit me when he was teething the first couple of times. Try putting a bit of teething gel on his gums before you feed him - he won't get the urge to bite to relieve them if they're sore then.

icklelulu - had to re-read your comment of 'also sat him on the floor' as when I read it the first time I thought you were being a bit drastic 'also sat on him on the floor'.

He hasn't bit me tonight but if he does it again then rather than disturbing the whole street with my aarrggghh then I will try yours & hunkermunkers tactics.

How are things now henshake?

I fed DS1 to 18 months. His teeth came through late. He bit me and drew blood, sometime around 13 months. I screamed. He never did it again.

DS2 has been getting teeth earlier, and seems to be responding to the "put him down, walk away" school of dealing with biting, thankfully.
