my baby is just turned 3 months now and sometimes is starting to finish the 5oz bottles that I pump and my partner feeds her with... partner keeps saying I have to pump more and get bigger bottles....but 5/6oz is all I can pump.. question is: When did you switch to bigger bottles? Do babies increasingly take more and more breast milk? what should I do?

Babies don't tend to take more breastmilk as your milk changes with time. I expressed for DS when I was working, and he took the same size bottle from 4 months to 14 months

missytquila my DD is now 12 weeks. Initially at around 7 weeks she took 4-5 oz and would even struggle with this sometimes. However, the last time we gave her a bottle she took 8oz. Luckily I had spare milk in the fridge so that my DH could get more. I posted a thread about it and this seems normal. I'd just try to express more if you can just in case your partner ends up with a very unhappy hungry baby and you are not there!

You can mix stored milk from different pumping sessions, although you may not find that it's easy to keep up with demand.
