My DS is a fractious baby.He loves to be cuddled or fed to sleep and I am really happy with that. He os only 3 weeks old. I have discovered today that he really likes to suck on a dummy but as my daughters didn't like them I am wary about how to keep them clean enough for such a small baby.

Do I need to sterilise them each time he discards it or just now and again?
How do I store them between uses (when sterile)?
Any other advice gratefully recieved

I just occasionally wash my DD's under the hot tap. I don't sterilise it. After all I don't sterilise my nipples/boobs.

This is based purely on my own logic rather than any knowledge but a lot of parents use thier little finger to soothe a baby and I don't think many of them sterilise their hands.

Agree with croissants about the wash under a hot tap........

Thank you. You'd think by number 3 I'd be less paranoid
