My day tomorrow-is it doable

I have a 5mth old and I am heading to London tomorrow with MIL for an exam marking standardisation meeting. A means of earning extra money as on no pay from teaching now till go back in Aug. Ds is ebf, I have never had to express and never really tried a bottle. He is on some food and water from a cup. My plan is bf on train if need be and feed just before go in to meetingat 10. Have asked them if ok to go out at breaks and feed. Seem ok but cant specify break times. Due to end at 5. Will mil be ok with water in cup and some puree. Should I try to express tonight and do a bottle. Should I just pull out and not go. Advice for a pancky mum would be appreciated.

how long does he normally go between feeds? it would probably be 2 feeds he'd miss?
I think you'll be ok, when my dd was with other people she required far less milk than when with me, she just made up for it when I got there.
will you be able to have your phone on for your MIL to text if she really needs you?
would wear some breast pads!

Express just in case and also make sure you'll be able to go out a few times to bf.
Is ds comfortable with Mil? That's what I would be morrying about-that he wpould be upset being away from you. But if he knows her well, I think it's totally doable, if perhaps a bit stressful for you.

He knows mil well and she will stay close by. think would easily go four hours if i was not in sight. may try and express couple of oz tonight!! As she said the worst that can happen is I have to leave.

It'll be fine.
If absolutely need to, just give the baby a quick feed.

I think I am worrying too much about what people think about me nipping out, when really i think they are so desperate for examiners they wont care!

You'll be fine! You should be able to feed at lunchtime at least.

I took dd along with me a lot for work when she was small, and was always pleasantly surprised at how accommodating people were. you'll be fine, you just mustn't be shy, if you have to nip out, say.

It is an exam standardisation meeting, so dont know any of them, but hopefully they will be so grateful for recruiting someone (history examiners are few and far between) that they will happily let me to and fro. I feel alot happier after everyones comments and will go with the flo. The worst that can happen is they dont pay me for the meeting.
