How much milk for 14 month old?

How much milk is too much for a 14 month old? I stopped BFing last month and DS seems to be sick every time has whole milk so have been giving him formula. Trouble is he really loves his bottle now and is having 4 ounces in the morning, 7 in the afternoon and 8 at night before bed. He eats a good diet but he's quite chubby, even by baby standards. Has been walking for about 4 months and is quite active so would have expected him to slim down a bit by now. Should I be more firm about the milk and cutting it down or will he do it naturally eventually? what does anyone think? Advice would be gratefully received!

12-20 oz is considered ok from 1 year. If you feel the milk is interfering with his solids intake then you could try cutting it down. Both my lo's were only on 2 milk feeds by 10 1/2 months (am and pm) and the rest of the time had water with meals/snacks.

Thanks. Think I might try cutting down the afternoon bottle. DS does have cups of water during the day as well as his bottle of milk. His milk doesn't seem to be interfering with his food intake, it's just he is really chubby and i thought it may be because he is eating more but still taking in the same amount of milk!
