Is DS self weaning?

DS is 2 and I'm 18 weeks pregnant.
Pre pg he was bf 2-3 x day but is now down to bedtime only as he's finally sleeping through reliably and seems happy to get up for breakfast instead of bf in morning.

I suspect that my supply has waned in the last few weeks as bedtime feeds have got a lot shorter and he suckles but shakes his head after about 30 secs and says 'no milk'. I presume he means there isn't any there rather than he doesn't want it.
I have started to give him a small cup of cows milk before the bedtime bf which he wolfs down .

It was my intention to tandem feed if DS wanted to carry on but I suspect that he will happily wean over the next few days /weeks.

Does anyone have advice / experience of toddler self weaning during pregnancy and how they cope with the new arrival constantly bf?

I wonder whether he'll want milk when there's a plentiful supply again, does it / can it work like that?
