10/10 30pm formula feed, affecting supply?

can anyone advise on this...

ds is two weeks old. i'd like his dad to give him a 10/10 30 pm feed, and was thinking this feed could be formula, sometimes at least. sometimes might be ebm too, depending on freezer stocks.

but basically i will completely miss that feed either way.

will this affect my supply?

thanks!

I think your body will assume that you don't need to feed the baby then so stop producing milk for that feed.

I think until the baby is 6 weeks not a great idea to go that long without feeding, ok to fed first then offer formula or EBM but you should feed first.

If you want to go to bed early maybe pump at 9pm and then go to bed?

Not an expert but I do this and I have stopped getting engorged at that time, but am still feeding fine the rest of the day, so I think your body does adjust to skipping a feed.

Two weeks is very early though, it might be better to wait until your supply is properly established (six weeks - 3 months I think). I started giving a daily bottle at four months.

Hope that helps
