Looking for a little advice!

My daughter is now 17 weeks old and for the last mayb 6 weeks or so has started to bring up quite a bit of milk after most of her feeds. She has also been crying a lot more, seems quite unhappy and doesn't like to be held.

Got her weighed last week, she is now 9lb 10oz and for the first time hasn't reach the line she should on the chart. The health visitor suggested trying infant gaviscon which we have done for the last week, seemed to make a it a bit better however today she has brought up both her bottles so far and just seems so sad, crying and fussing. Have also been trying colief but can't make up my mind if it making any difference or not.

She has slept through the night from about 6 weeks old, if she was in pain or anything would she still sleep 12 hours at night? She also naps no bother through the day and is in a good routine. Am starting to not want to take her out inbetween naps though as she is either crying or being sick! - HELP!!!

My dd's reflux always gets worse immediately after a growth spurt. Lasts about 3 days and then calms down again. Think it's the oesophagus growing faster than the lower valve. Hope this is the case for you and it calms down soon. I also started weaning early on consultant's recommendation, perhaps you could discuss this with gp - not hv as they're useless and will only ever give the advice for a textbook baby.

I agree. When DD2 arrives next month I intend to tell the HV minimal info and hope they go away very fast as the HV I had with DD1 was utterly useless. Trust your instincts and talk to your GP.
