Mucousy poo - is it ok?

DD is 6 weeks weight/feeding etc fine. no poo routine yet; sometimes twice a day, sometimes every 2 days. Yesterday was after 2 days and smelt pretty rank, (kind of sour), but looked normal. This morning smelt normal but had a fair amount of mucous in it. DD otherwise fine. Should I worry?

i don't think so, it's pretty common for their poo to be mucousy, not least when they have a wee cold. it's got to come out somewhere. i know what you mean about the smell, though, gross.
