bfeeding 4 month old dd, have been taking co-codamol 30/500 at night just before bed only, and only occasional, not every night, is it ok? im worried about the effects on little dd!!

Have nasty backache alot, seems worse at night, and quite often leads to crappy headache by 9pm, by the time i get to bed, my heads splitting, my my back's aching and a couple of co-codamol just really help! Is this ok do u think? TIA xx

hi.... i have pulled a muscle in my neck and am bf.... i was told to take co codamol and he said it was ok....may make ds a little sleepy but thats all????? i only feed once a day so its not too bad anyway x

charlotte, you poor thing! Just to add yes small amounts should be fine but that you should get yourself to an osteopath, during breastfeeding you are more manipulable because of all the relaxin in your body, if you are getting problems with your back now is the perfect time to go. As my osteopath put it, it is the perfect time to get you properly straightened out before you hit the menopause ( clearly he was talking about me but ykwim).
