Stopping BF how did it happen?

DD is just over 9 months old and has always been very attatched to her feeds. She took her early morning feed today but has cried every time I have offered her feeds since and refused.

She has a cold and I think is teething but apart from that is well.

Has anyone else had this experience and do babies go from feeding one day to stopping just like that?

Thanks!

Hi 2cats, hope you're not too stressed. She seems young to me to be stopping, mine stopped quite suddenly but that was at two - and no crying, just turning away.
What else is she drinking if not bf? Does she drink from bottles too/is she refusing that?
Hoping someone with better advice comes along.

sounds like a nursing strike

Thanks ladies!

She did take some this morning when I was laying down but looked at my nipple as though it was an alien from outer space and did not feed with her usual enthusiasm!
She's still sucking her thumb so not sure the sucking action is causing her discomfort.

Does sound like a nursing strike. Am trying not to panic or stress about it but not doing too well!

Going to do some expressing now or I may explode...

Thanks again
