hi, i am british, just moved to america where i CANNOT find decent milk powder.
in england all the milk powdrs have 0.8mg of iron per whatever, and here there is 1.8mg. its regarded as normal over here, but my baby (aged 8 months) is having real problems - digestion probs, and then dark green poohs, really straining.
i know iron is essential to growth and development, but i think my daughter is getting too much iron.
does anyone know why americans have such high levels of iron in their formula?
and does anyone know where i can buy british milk powder (SMA or Aptamil is what i used) here in New York??
