PLEASE help me with ideas to deepen a shallow latch?

Hello all,

So, my 6wo's shallow latch has defeated all midwives. She is nipple sucking and/or my nipple is rubbing against her tongue at all feeds. She can latch well, and does so sometimes. She is feeding OK and putting on weight, but OWWWWWWWW. I can't grin and bear this for too much longer.

Any ideas?

Depending on your boob size/shape, leaning back while feeding (obviously with good back support) can help deepen the latch.

Also, has anyone looked to see if your LO has a tongue tie?
