How do you latch on discreetly?

I think the actual feeding part is done fairly discreetly, however to latch DD on I currently whip out my entire boob, faff with DD's positioning a bit, and then faff with latching on. When she's done she tends to whip herself off, again leaving me exposed - it then takes me a good minute of faffing before I can do up the stupid clip on my cup again.

I refuse to buy one of those daft breastfeeding apron things, and I'm not overly keen on draping things over DDs head - if nothing else I need to see what I am doing,

I have the same problem but I'm not particulaly bothered who sees my nipple, obviously I don't swing them around, flashing them, but I also need to see what I'm doing......I tried disceetly latching but DS got so annoyed because he couldn't get himself comfy, so he didn't feed properly....no hence the reason I'm not bothered just as long as he gets his food

I don't. I focus on getting DS sorted out as quickly as possible and then worry about discretion. If somebody is close enough to notice what I am doing in the minute or so that takes then they are either a very good friend or they are too close.

I turn away from any audience to face a wall while i am exposing boob, I position dd in the feeding position first so her head is blocking sight of my boobs then i wap em out and then turn back to face my audience once I have got her latched- voila!

this is a hard one isn't it!? I was in a coffee shop the other day feeding dd and she suddenly pulled off and gave an almighty wail. Causing everyone in the quiet and brightly lit room to turn around and look at me sitting there sans top! Strangly i wasn't that bothered though, guess dignity has already gone out the window.
If i'm prepared i would maybe take a big shawl/scarf and drape it over so i can latch he on under it then take it off to feed. Or wear a baggy top she can fit underneath (obv wont work when she is bigger though)

I don't - I just expose myself. Agree with Morloth.

Feeding in front of my colleagues was the hardest feed I've ever done, but they were unbothered and I worried unnecessarily.

Always had that problem when little and even worse if I would get 'let down' before they were latched on!!

I found wearing a cardigan helped as you could often shield at least the side of your boob whilst latching on. I normally had a muslin to hand in case for emergency cover up.
