How many feeds a day for 10 mo?

DD is a week off 10 months, and is still having 4 milk feeds per day.

8am: 5-6oz, Breakfast

12pm: 4-5oz, Lunch

4pm: 4-5oz, Dinner

8pm: 5-6oz

She always has her milk first, too. Is it too much milk? At her 8 month check up, the HV said she should be on only 2 milk feeds per day by the time she is 1

What you're doing looks fine there's a long time in baby terms til she is 1 so don't worry about cutting her milk yet. A lot of HVs seem intent on trying to fix what aint broke, so to speak. Carry on doing what works for your DD and offer lots of variety in her diet, but don't worry about cutting down her milk yet. She should continue having a pint a day at least, and with all my charges I keep up that amount of milk for quite some time beyond their first birthday as its good for them

My 10 month old has this:
7-8am 7oz, breakfast
12pm 7oz, lunch
3.30pm 7oz
5pm Tea
7pm 7oz.

He has about half his milk before his meals at breakfast and lunch (although sometimes he sinks the lot!), and at least some of the rest afterwards, often all of it.

My HV at the 9 month check was about 12 years old and didn't understand when I tried to explain about BLW. So when she started rattling off how much he should be having I nodded, smiled and ignored. Especially as she'd just weighed and measured him and he was fine!!

My ds was on 3 milk feeds by 10 months and dropped to 2 just before 11 months. From 1 year they only need around 350 mls of milk so they dont need as much milk to drink. If you wanted your lo to cut down a bit then try offering a day feed from a lidded cup along with a snack - this gets your lo used to milk from a cup and also will help your lo take a bit less at that feed.

Mine 9 month old has about what your DD has and 3 meals a day. I wouldn't worry.
