Wind at 3pm

Hi!

My 7 week old has really bad wind starting at about 3am and finishing with a few huge poos at 7 ish. I burb him after feeds and try to rub his back/tummy and have him on his tummy when he's going through it to help aleaviate/move it along, but it's not much good. He's in a lot of pain - which is distressing as he's just started to get real tears!

He's exclusively breastfed so I'm looking for change my diet to see if that helps. Any ideas for what I shouldn't/should eat?

Any other ideas? Could it be the mothers milk tea or all bran (I have both every day)?

Thanks for all your help in advance!

my DS was quite bad at getting his wind up, he was in lots of pain too so I tried Infacol, worked an absolute treat, now he has no problems, my DS is also 7 weeks, use it just before a feed.....

He burbs fine - it seems to come later, and out the other end...

he's been out of sorts all day now - crying and inconsolable. Dread to think what tonight will be like.

poor little soul, he probably has some small bubbles that he doesn't burp up and he's in pain as they pass through to the other end......it works by joining all the small bubbles together to form bigger bubbles, you never know it might work

My DS was just like this. We found that gripe water worked well if we gave it to him at his 7pm and 11pm feed. Seemed to not need it during the day - but did seem to improve things at night. However all these things can just be a phase. I would not worry about changing your diet just yet - try some other remedies first.

My ds is the same - very unsettled from 4am onwards, and always sick after his morning(after7am)feed.

sorry - no advice but marking my place!
