When to give cows milk!!

Hi, My DS is 11 months old and has 2 formula feeds a day- one morning & one bed time. His formula is going to run out in the next few days and i just wondered what all you lovely mums would do

A) get a new tub of formular for the last 4 weeks before he is a year

OR

B) Just give him cows milk and dont look back!

I know they say not to give cows milk until 12 months but would 4 weeks really make much difference?

Thanks

How long does a tub last? I'd probably get a tub and use it until it ran out. But if a tub is going to last 6 months or something then I wouldn't bother!

How about a compromise and use cartons for the next 2 weeks or so?

I carried on giving at least one cup of formula till mine were two. Mainly because of their pickiness with food at times. I always comforted myself with the fact that if they didn't eat there veg one day at least they'd get some good stuff in the formula.
But if that's not a concern of yours then I'd just move straight on to cows milk when this tub is finished. One month won't make the slightest difference.

A new tub will last well over a month as he only has 2 milk feeds a day which are of 7oz each. I though about the cartons but ruled them out for a number of reasons. My DS is a really good eater, his size shows that. I make all his own food and so far he has loved everything ive given him.

I also spoke to the health visito today and she seemed more for cows milk at this stage as like you said bumbums 4 weeks isnt going to make any difference.

Thanks for your advice
