Ok, honestly, what happens when the top two teeth come through? The thought of it is keeping me awake at night. DS has the bottom two but they're covered by his tongue during feeding - where do the top two go during bfing?!!! Ouuuccccchhhh!!!!

I don't know how, but it doesn't hurt! There are maybe a few moments while they get used to it but it really is fine.

Suck your thumb - did you bite it? Presumably not - that is where the teeth go!

As TPO said, sometimes when the teeth first come through you get a slight discomfort, because they need to adjust their latch slightly, but that lasts about a day, and honestly I don't notice the difference between no teeth and now, and DS has nearly a full set (including some very fierce looking canines!)
