Ds is ebf. He is 14wks so bit early for weaning, although seeing food gets him into a tis. With dd I started baby rice at 20wks. Out of interest when did those ebf their dc start weaning.

ds just started baby led weaning at 6 months, same as dd did 4 years ago.

DD1 was 6 months (she's 2.9 now).

My daughter had her first foods this week. She's 6 months old. We're doing the BLW route.

Baby rice has no nutritional value, don't see the point in it for the majority of babies.

DS was 20 weeks 7.5 years ago which was considered late at the time and went the puree route so extensively that he never ate proper fruit until I stopped buying the jars when he was 3!!!!!!!!!!. DD was 23 weeks. I plan to be led by DS2 and will aim for 6 months but if he needs it before then I'll be happy to go from about 20 weeks. Did a mixture of purees and BLW with DD and plan to do the same with DS2.

My little man seems to be really interested in food, but will try and hold out to the 20+wk period

Started at 6 months, mixture of purees and bits to hold as I didn't fancy BLW.

He had a phase of waking up a lot at 4/5 months but I guess it was the 4 month sleep regression business.

Ds1 - 6 months - purees
Ds2 - 6 months - BLW

Having done both methods. BLW is definitely the way forward

DS blw @ 6 months (2 days before actually based on physical signs.)
