breast to cup not bottle - any tips

My little one (now 22 weeks) has refused to take a bottle (or dummy....not impressed by anything that isn't the real thing!) so am now attempting to wean from breas to cup. Seems little point in her learning to take a bottle only to then have to give that up too.

I have a doidy cup and a free flow beaker.

Has anyone who has successfully done this transition got any tips? and how long can we expect it to take her to get the hang of it!

I did it with my DD. She was down to four bf in a day. So depending on naps and the quantity of solids she'd had at previous meal, I gave her a cup of formula at either the mid morning or mid afternoon milk time.
To start with she'd just have a few sips, then an ounce or two. I've only ever made up four scoop cups and she doesn't usually finish it.
DD is my second. My DS went on to bottles at 5mths and drank twice as much milk as my DD ever has. That's just the way it is when you go from breast to cup I think.
I sat down with her initially when she was drinking her milk but find that if she leaves the cup lying around she'll keep returning to it and drink more. Also initially give her some milk to drink at every solid meal. Some children drink alot while eating and if she doesn't take much from the cup at first its good to give her plenty of opportunity to drink milk.
Hope thats helpfull.
