hi, Im pregnant with 3rd bump,breast fed both other dc but only untill 3 months due to feeling so embarressed and people stirring while out in public.

Want to fed baby this too,but find it stressful worrying bout going out.

What are your views on breast most of time and formula wen i feel unable/uncomfartable while out.

I struggle to pump milk and feed, just doesnt seem to produce enough.

have thought bout it and only prob i can see is the effect on babys tummy,swapping from one to another.

It may cause problems esp in the early days getting a good milk supply up and going, also might cause nipple confusion in young babies. You can get some tops that make it almost impossible to tell if you are bf and I would suggest if embarressment is a concern investing in some of these. Also if there is a bf support group near by go along as will make you feel that bf is normal and something to feel proud of not embarressed by!!!

Agree with the above - you can get nursing covers it make it more discrete if that's your main concern. You could also use the two tops (one up one down) technique, put a muslin or scarf over you when feeding, or use designated feeding rooms.

I fed breast and bottle on ds1 to give my boobs a rest as they got damaged and I never seemed to produce much expressing. I did it in rotation and it was fine. Once my boobs healed I was able to increase my milk if he wanted it or carry on with the odd bottle here or there. He had no problems at all, feeding or weaning or taking anything (which is more than I can say for ds2). As much as I really wanted to just bf, the odd bottle did work and I only did it because it was agony bfing.
