6 month growth spurt?

Hello,

I was just wondering if babies have a growth spurt at 6-ish months? My son is six months old next week. He is BF and having a couple of solid meals a day at the moment. After a couple of hideous months (from 3-5 months) when he was waking every couple of hours at night he's been sleeping quite well for the last two weeks waking only once or twice a night to feed. Then last night it all went wrong again and he needed feeding about 4 times and has fed 3 times since 7 this morning!

Could this be a growth spurt? Does anyone know if I should increase his solids or just keep breast feeding him more?

Thanks for any advice and tips!
