My 13 week old dd has just started sleeping for 9/10 hours a night without a feed (bliss!!)

But, my problem is is that in the morning my boobs are so full and painful that I cant move much!

Will my supply adjust soon?

It took a week it two for mine to adjust. DD had to really concentrate on the morning feeds so as not to choke as the flow of milk was very fast first thing.
At the risk of sound like The Voice Of Doom, the sleeping through may not last so make the most

Yes give it a few more days and it'll sort its self out. Have you been hand expressing a tiny bit to releave a little of the pressure?
Hope she continues to sleep so well for you.

DS started to sleep through at about 11 weeks too. It lasted 3-4 weeks. He is 16mo and still waking every night

So I would say, don't worry, your breasts will adjust over 3 or 4 days, enjoy it while it lasts. And pop a towel underneath you for leaks - I found I needed to wear a sleep nursing bra so I could wear breast pads overnight and leaked a lot.

o god the full to bursting breasts problem - remember it well. mine seemed to adjust pretty quickly but sometimes i would get up and express a bit just to ease the pressure. that did help.

Can I just have an moment for anyone with a baby that sleeps through at 13 weeks (32 weeks here and counting, DS still feeds 3x a night)

HinnyPet · 08/05/2010 22:12

Lilypadz good for stopping leaks, but your boobs will get used to it soon, meanwhile enjoy the sleep....

Lilypadz is a great idea.

Im not expecting it to last! Its nice for now though.

Thanks all
