DD's nighttime feeding behaviour is doing my head in!

Gah 12 week old dd was going 7-9 hours and I was expressing her night feeds and giving in a bottle as she is a very slow feeder and is much faster that way - more sleep all round! However in last week or so she is waking four hourly, fine growth spurt I assume, as she is waking before I express I have been putting her to boob and lying down feeding, cept after ten mins she is fast asleep again. I know she hasn't had enough and sure enough in 30mins or so she will be awake again. So I have been expressing the rest of her feed within her snooze time and giving her the bottle except now she has bloody well stopped taking the bottle properly too at night (fine in day) she gulps it down too fast and coughs and splutters (we use nuk teats or stage 1 tommee tipee as even though she should probably be on the two's I think the flow would be too fast for her). Obviously taking the bottle in this way means lots of wind and often a big vomit.

Am sooo fed up. Last night I tried feeding her sitting up instead of lying down in case that made a diff (it didn't but did mean I could pump at same time). I recently stopped doing her nappy at night feeds unless essential as once she starts sleeping through she would be in same nappy all night and trying to make it easier toget her back to sleep after her feed, but think am going to have to go back to nappy changes and feeding her out of her grobag to see if that makes a diff. (cept am feeding her right now post nappy change and only in her baby gro and she is asleep AGAIN, cept isn't so bad in early mornings as we can doze together it's nights I can't handle!)

Any other suggestions?

Try settling her with a dummy or letting her suck on your little finger for a while. It might be that she needs the sucking for comfort rather than the milk.

Sorry if you've already tried this

Instead of a night feed? Is that okay to do at 12weeks? she is 5.7kg so afaik there is no metabolic need for night food but then I worry she hasn't had enough in the day ( weight gain issues initially left me paranoid!). Spose if she won't settle then it is food she wants- she won't take a dummy but will take my little finger. Will try it tonight....
