Help!! Trying to find a specific teat that helps with reflux/colic...

Can anyone out there help me find a product that someone told me about?

My baby suffers very badly from reflux and he is currently on different medications to try and ease his suffering and a guy in a restaurant told me about disposable feeding bags that attach to a very flat almost disc-like shaped teat that goes entirely into the baby's mouth (so that they can't get air coming in at the sides of their mouths which can happen with regular anti-colic type teats). He swore by this as he used them for one of his twin daughters that had the same problems as my son but as it was about six years ago he couldn't remember what they were called or who made them. He told me to look on Baby Net or iVillage websites for them but so far I've drawn a blank.

If anyone knows what these are or where I can get them then please let me know. Many thanks.

Playtex maybe?

I find babies respond well to the MAM ULTIvent teat which fits Dr Browns/ Avent bottles etc.

I've had a quick look at the Playtex system but it doesn't sound like they are the teats that he described to me.

I'm already using Dr Brown's bottles and teats (having already abandoned Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature bottles which were just hopeless for my son!) and a variety of other different teats and bottles. I'm a single parent and would like to find something soon that works as I've already wasted a small fortune on different feeding equipment, sleep positioners, mattress wedges etc and most of it has just been a waste of money unfortunately!!!

Doctors have been of little help too - they just keep saying 'oh he'll grow out of it' but they don't have to watch him squirming about in agony for most of the day! Latest hospital visit sent us home with more medication and told us not to come back for three months!!!

I'll check out the other ones you mention though, many thanks for your help.

try the teats in the dr b bottles.

A bouncy seat with snuggly soft blanket in for sleeping day and night

rubbing back from bottom to shoulder blades no patting

feeding in a stable upright position

using an upright supportive carrier like close or www.sleepywrap.com
