Breastfeeding - which side next?

I have a 3 day old who is feeding very frequently, but sometimes only for short periods. I seem to remember from when I had my older dd, following some rule about which side to feed from next i.e. if baby only feeds for ten minutes or wants another feed 30 minutes later to return to the same side but go to other side if the feed or interval is longer. But I can't remember exactly what the times were - can anyone help?

Hope this makes sense - brain is mush at present

Thanks for any advice

personally I wouldnt get too hung up about it - as long as you're not fsavouring one breast then the odd 'skipped' feed won't matter and your baby will let you know if she needs to swap.
congratulations

LOL, I have a feel and go with whichever feels fullest. So different to with DS1 where I was obsessive about making sure I swapped them between feeds.

DS2 and I prefer the left breast for daytime/out and about feeds and the right one for lazing around/night feeds.

Thanks for your help. I think what I was remembering was the advice I was given for a fast let-down/over supply problem which was to stick to the same side for several hours.

I saw a fantastic lady bf ing her 10wk twins in the park. She fed them at the same time and they were sychronised! So it must be complete bollocks about swapping sides coz her twins had one each and were beautiful. Well done to her! And she had 3 other children in the park. Hats off to her!Personally, I found using one side only at each feed meant fore and hind milk were taken and babe seemed satisfied for longer. I bf my 4.....not at the same time!!!
