Bras!

I am coming to the end of BF DD and my nursing bras are all too big for me but my pre baby under wired bra's fit well and feel lovely!

I was told by the very stern lady in M & S I should not wear an underwire but can't find out why. Am guessing it restricts milk flow maybe but does any one know the risks of wearing an underwire or any possible complications it may cause?

Thanks!

As long as they fit, it's no danger. I mean really, what's going to happen, your boobs aren't going to explode or drop off.
I wore underwires throughout my second pregnancy and when bfing (anita underwired nursing bras can't be beated) and I felt and looked a damn sight better than wearing horrible white granny bras with all the support of an elastic band. Do what you feel is right. If they fit and are comfy, wear your old ones.

That's what I thought but the scary lady in M & S freaked me out! Thanks for the anita nursing bra tip, will check them out

What M&S know about bras can be placed on a thimble and rattled.

LOL I so agree!

i second the Anita nursing bras recommendation...I had one arrive today and feel SO much better about my saggy boobs as they are encased in a lacy underwired number as we speak

Speak to the lovely people at Bras4Mums. They know all about everything. If you live in the Lancashire area they'll even come and visit you at home at fit you up, but if not, they're really helpful over the phone too.

Thanks Molewife

Apparently it is not a very good idea to wear underwires during your first pregnancy and in the early days of nursing your first baby, as the milk ducts are forming. After that, no problem - and goodness knows we need it

So need it, didn't think it was possible for my boobs to sag so much already
