How much milk?

Hi, I am going to get my hair cut on Saturday and have been expressing in case DS needs a feed while I am gone.

Expressing is a PITA and I don't want to do anymore than absolutely necessary. Will be gone about 3 hours and will feed him before I go - will schedule for his big daytime sleep, so he might not need it at all.

How much would make up a decent tide over for a chunky 5 week old? He feeds a LOT.

I didn't start expressing til my DS was about 8 weeks and he would take 4oz if I remember right. He'll usually take 5oz now at 11 weeks.

Since you'll be back soon after I'd guess at about 3oz. Just a guess though. Even a small amount will take the edge off any hunger til you get back. Enjoy your pampering time
