Converting regular bras to nursing bras - which bits of the old nursing bras to keep?

I am intending to convert some of my regular bras to nursing bras

I have old nursing bras from last time and want to check which bits to keep

I was planning on reusing the clasps and then the straps that stop your bra strap pinging off behind your shoulder

Do I need to salvage anything else?

Sounds good to me. I have similar intentions, just haven't got round to doing it yet.

i've saved all the bits that are not fabric.

so have I missed anything I should be saving?

you have all the necessary bits, and can buy extras off ebay as I did. My new bras are much better than my old ones, and only took about an hour to do each one (I stitch very small indeed)

You need: clasps, both bits. The bit of elastic fabric between under the cup which keeps the cup from going twang downwards too.

Overstitch a lot if you don't they will give up the ghost after a few washes.

thank you
I'm hoping to convince my mom to do the sewing on her machine
