Mixed Feeding???

I am exclusively breast feeding my 6 week old DD. For various reasons i sometimes need to give her a bottle and she has been taking expressed milk without a problem.

The thing is, I HATE expressing, she feeds so often anyway that i find it hard to find the time to do it, and when i do find the time i stuggle to get enough.

Aside from the implications on the supply of milk, what is the problem with giving the occasional bottle of formula? Are there any compelling reasons not to? I am confident that my supply could take it once or twice a week but am worried about it anyway.
What i am worried about i'm not sure... allergies or something i suppose as my DD1 has a dairy allergy but no reason to suspect DD2 does. hmmmm

I'm not really sure what i asking, is it ok to give an occasional formula? I just cant seem to give myself permission and i'm not sure why.

Sorry for rambling, just interested in your thoughs

if its just once or twice a week, i doubt it would impact your milk supply.

if you can afford it though, get a high-grade, hands-free electric pump. definitely worth it, express & feed easily at the same time.

faster than a manual as well

Thank you Leifie i currently use the medela swing but it isn't hands free and i certainly couldn't feed at the same time. Do you have any paticular recommendation for a hands free model?

(changed nickname) medela freestyle, bit pricey around 220-250, worth it though!

it attaches to your nursing bra straps, tricky until you work it out but saves milk going everywhere when you are trying to
bf at the same time!! and its FAST because you are already stimulated by feeding

you can make medela swing hands free using two hair bands so you can breastfeed at same time (I do this inititally with swing but now with hospital grade pump)
