Expressed milk for 2-week old?

To start, I know that I'm incredibly lucky with my newborn and her feeding habits: EBF, ample supply, and her evening feeds since day three are at 10pm, 2am and 7am. Brilliant!

But the 2am feed is a bit fraught...She'll start all guns going and feed for 5-15 minutes. After that, she slows down to butterfly suckles and fall asleep. Once I take her off me though, she becomes APOPLECTIC WITH RAGE and frantically roots around until she's latched again. The process repeats for another two hours.

I know the night feeds are important to keep supplies up, so my question is this: Since I can express three ounces of milk in 10 minutes, am I being stupid for thinking "I can express and bottle feed at 2 am and save us all a lot of angst"?

I'm expressing anyway to donate all the spare milk I've got, but am I mad for thinking of feeding my DH this way?

um, DS was like this until 8 weeks old. we tried ebm, and it made precisely no difference to his sleeping/feeding - in fact, some nights he would feed more from me AFTER a bottle of ebm...

also, why would you be feeding your DH this way?!

Ha ha ha! Good lord, what a typo. I meant DD
