cup feeding - hates formula.. advice

Not sure what to do. 9mo baby won't take a bottle but has now learned to drink from a cup. He will take water but hates formula.

I last tried expressing a few weeks ago but it was a lot harder than in the early days. Am loathe to try again as it's time consuming and to be honest think my expressing stuff has perhaps not been working that well.. and don't reluctant to shell out on a new one at this late stage.
However I know that cow's milk is not recommended for another 3months.

Do you think I should invest in some expressing stuff again? Or any one got any other ideas?

Want to do this so can get out the house to do some preparation for returning to work - and to fit in some me-time before Dday too!

I've got the exact same problem. Let me know if you find a solution! I have two pumps and can't more than 20ml at a time so it is futile.

I gave mine in this position just a try of cow's milk just to see whether it was the formula itself he didn't like or the fact that it wasn't water in his cup. Having got used to cow's milk in his breakfast cereal this was fine.

I then gave him cool formula, so it looked the same as the cow's milk and was cool as was used to in the morning. (I just let the boiled water cool down to room temperature before mixed in the powder- slightly more difficult to mix in, but can't see from the instructions that this was a problem in terms of formula preparation. You could even then experiment with chilling it). He then took this fine.

Hope this helps.

Thanks beachhut, that's really really helpful to know. Will try cow's milk tomorrow and put some formula in the fridge to chill ASAP. Have been giving him formula straight out of the carton from the cupboard so could be where it was going wrong!
Cheers
