Does anyone else have pain in their legs when bf. Spoke to my doc and she said it had something to do with the nerves and it would fade in time but I'm finding I am getting the pain all day and it is worse during the night. Also my arms have the same pain. It feels like electric currents in my arms and legs including wrists and ankles. it is getting harder to get out of bed in the mornings. Is anyone else suffering from this?

could it be the womb contracting, a sort of referred pain. i had dreadful pains. partiocularly by the 3rd dc.

are you sitting comfortably btw?

I had pain in my joints from a few days after delivery until my youngest was about 12 weeks. All the joints - knees and ankles but also fingers, wrists, elbows and shoulders. I gather it's not that unusual. Just when I was thinking of seeing my dr it started to fade.

Is your doctor sure that your pain is caused by your nerves? Have you been advised on your posture? As Slartybartfast indicates, it may be due to sitting for long periods of time in an awkward way, not the hormones of breastfeeding. How old is your baby?

Hi my baby is 12 weeks old and I saw my doc for my 6 week check up. I haven't seen her since. But I walk a lot between 1 and 3 hours a day. For some reason walking seems to help.

When I did see the doc she said because my labour pain started in my back it was common to get painful legs when breast feeding. yes so possibly It could be something to do with the womb. It just doesn't seem to be fading but getting worse. It's a bit worrying
