DS2 has gone to bed tonight without a proper feed of milk

Poor DS2 is teething. He is 10 and half months old and exclusively BF.

All day I have had problems with him biting me whilst feeding. He managed a good feed first thing this morning and again after lunch. However, due to his biting I was unable to feed him mid morning and also at his bedtime feed. This evening one of my nipples has started to bleed because of the biting.

Anyway he eventually has fallen asleep without any milk at this bedtime.

I am hoping he will feed OK when he wakes up as he will be hungry...

Any tips to get through this? He did bite when his other 6 tetth came through but this is the first time I have been unable to feed him!

Remarkably he slept through the night and I had to wake him up at 7 as I was going to explode!

He has fed fine from one side but on the other side he started biting again. Stupidly this is the side that was bleeding yesterday - perhaps I should have offered that side first! So now in pain from the biting and the fullness of milk! Arghhhh

Oh you poor thing!!
He maybe just adjusting his latch with his new teeth.
Only thing I can suggest is to immediately take him off and say "No" to him firmly as soon as he bites. Some people suggest immediately pushing his head into your breast briefly.
IN the meantime, stick some lansinoh on your sore nipple as this will help the healing, it'll keep the wound moist so no scabs form which could then be pulled off next time it heals.

Thanks, I am doing the no thing and stopping feeding long enough for him hopefully to get the message. We went through a bad week last time he grew some teeth a few months ago too.

I think I might dig out the lansinoh though - good idea...

Off for a long weekend today so hope it stops soon!
