hi there, my DS is three months old today. He has a good appetite and has between 35 and 40 ounces of milk a day (nearer 40). His last feed is at 11pm. a couple of times he has got to 5am before wanting a feed but then reverts to 3am or 4am. regardless of what time he wakes, he does persistnet but low volume crying (half asleep) untill i feed him. Again, regardless of time he always drinks 4 ounces of milk while half asleep then goes back to sleep. He then only has half a feed at 7am for breakfast. Im wondering if anyone has any advice on how to encourage him to wait untill 7am and just have the whole feed then?. Ive read all sorts about cooled bolied water, letting them cry (not for me). is this comfort or genuine hunger thing?

at 3 months I would let him eat at 3-4 if he is still doing it at 6 months you could try water instead. whether it is comfort or hunger he needs it still!! imo

he's only 3 months old so night waking is to be expected. DD was 5 1/2 months and ds was 8 months old before they went through without a feed.
