Explosive & Projectile Vomiting in BF Baby

DD is 5 weeks old and BF is going well except for as mentioned in the title the explosive and projectile vomiting she does.
It is not after every feed but when she it does happen it is violent and covers everything.

I have cut out caffiene (coffee, diet coke etc), tried to cut out cheese etc but this didn't have any effect she still vomited. I mentioned it to the GP and he suggested cutting out tomatoes which I did but again had no effect.

I hoped that by drinking fennel tea it might help settle her stomach but have been doing this for 3 days and no effect so far.

I am going to go and see the HV next week to get her weighed and check she hasn't lost any weight but am worried about this as it is not just fresh milk from her most recent feed but also partially digested milk.

I didn't have nay of these issues with DS and he fed for 15/16 months so this is all a bit of a shock and a nightmare with washing as I seem to be changing bedding every other day!!!

Are there any other foods I should cut out or could this be reflux, in which case is there anything I can do other than see the HV/GP

Thanks for you help

my dd was like this - caused i think by my oversupply and her constant feeding (which itself was a bit of a chicken and egg thing I guess). she was absolutely fine health-wise though and a very chubby baby. she was a fairly sicky baby but the projectile vomiting settled down, def by 3 or 4 months (sorry can't remember, might well have been sooner) and much less sick once on solids.

does she seem happy apart from the sick?

everything was always in the wash and i remember not bothering with grobags as i had to wash one every day!

hope things settle for you soon!
