Old bottles or new?

Hi
New to this so no shorthand sorry. I'm expecting baby no 2 in 5 weeks and have saved my old bottles from baby no 1, now 4.5 years old. I'm buying new teets, but do I need to buy new bottles?
What is the difference as I hear the new ones are PPE free (Whatever that means).
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Nikki

BPA is a chemical that has being linked to some cancers. Unfortunatly the UK is not having any conclusive proof of BPA causing harm even though other countries around the world have banned it.

It is a personal choice but for my piece of mind I always recomend that parents buy the BPA free bottles. They are widely available now. I also make sure I don't put any boiling water in the bottles as I feel this can cause chemicals that are in BPA free bottles to leak out.

Of course living in todays society it's very hard to get away with no chemicals.

i wouldn't use old bottles, no.
i'd go for glass ones, or at the very least bpa free ones.

i'll probably get slated for daring to qustion your feeding method, but are you planning on formula feeding totally?
cos, if you want to breastfeed then you might want to just wait and see how it goes before buying bottles anyway. also, if you are breastfeeding and you def want to offer a bottle as well you might only need a couple which would make glass ones more affordable

Thanks for your messages. I do plan on breastfeeding, but have the bottles from when we wheened little one first time round. So just getting ready for any situation as wasn't prepared first time round!

Will do some more research on google about PPE free bottles and look at buying some new one's if my old ones are cracked etc. Will go and check them carefully.
Much appreciated for your help.
