Potassium citrate safe while breastfeeding?

Can anyone tell me whether potassium citrate is safe while breastfeeding? If it's not can anyone suggest something that I can keep in the house to take at the first signs of cystitis? Thank you.

This is not a definitive answer, sorry.

Pot cit is not a drug as such, it just makes the urine less acidic. So from first prinicples I would imagine it is absolutely fine to take whilst BF.
However the leaflet does say "only take if absolutely essential"

How about cranberry juice?

Thanks Wuglet. On the bottle it says check with your doctor but my doctor is rubbish when it comes to anything BF-related.

I heard that cranberry juice can be counter-productive because of all the sugar. Not sure whether that's true though. I might get some to keep in the house in case though.
