Moving over to cows milk - reaction?

Not sure if this should be on here or allergies but here goes. DD2 was ebf til 5.5 months and mix fed til 10 months. Formula since then. No problems. I gave her some cows milk today (having put an ounce in a couple of formula bottles with no problem). She had about 3+ ounces and had major diarrhoea about an hour later.

DD1 had a dairy intolerance til about 3 but there have been no signs of it with DD2 - she has yogurt, cheese, formula etc. Is it likely to be a case of simply having to introduce cows milk more slowly or does this indicate an ongoing (more medium term) problem?

The problem is that she is on the old version of Hipp Organic (I dont want to use the new one). I had stockpiled it to get to a year but obviously won't be able to keep her on it for long.

thanks alot

If she has tolerated other dairy it may be she's got a tummy bug?

Has she been having cow's milk on cereal?

Hi - she isn't a massive cereal eater so not really had much basic milk (unless in cooked dishes). Her sister was on dairy free formula til 3 but i suppose because she has been fine on normal formula I supposed all would be ok. It seems very odd?

I don't think she has a bug. The timing was just too spot on. Will obviously try again in a week or so to be sure. It wouldnt of course be such an issue if Hipp was no longer vegetarian.
