Help with Partial BF and bottle feed baby

Hi to all. I'm a new mum joining that needs any help you can give.

My DS of 5 months has been taking a formula bottle at 6pm before bed for some time. He used to take the whole bottle and then go to sleep. A month ago he went through a stage of refusing the bottle. I have managed to get him to take half the bottle again but the other half of his milk has to come from me. My DH always does the night feed if he is at home so it has nothing to do with smelling the milk on me. We've tried not giving him the breast when I have been out for the evening but this resulted in my DH having 2 hours of screaming until my DS fell a sleep.

I've just introduced another bottle at 11am which he takes without any problems. Any suggestions?

just breastfeed him????

If it was that easy.

Unfortuantly I'm due to go back to work shortly and I sometimes work lates which means my husband would have to be able to put him to sleep without my boob being there.

Forgot to mention that he won't take EBM from the bottle either at this time.

i guess he just wants the comfort if he is happy to take the bottle at other times.

does he fall asleep in the pushchair/car? i know it's not ideal long-term but for the time being could your dh stick to giving as much bottle aws he'll take, and if he doesn't settle after that then taking him out for a walk/drive?

He does fall asleep in the car seat as soon as he is put in even before you put it in the car. The only issue is you can't get him out of it without him waking.

I've just tried going back to baby teats and this worked last night so I'll see how this goes too.
