DD2 is 7 mo and in 3 weeks, i have to go back to work. She has taken ebm from a bottle for weeks now but won't take formula, despite many attempts. i've heard you can mix the two in an attempt to wean them over; is it true, and if you did it, did it work?

i'm desperate!

I mixed EBM with formula when I was weaning DS and it was fine. But he loved milk regardless of the source .

Why don't you try starting off with 90% EBM, 10% formula and gradually adjust the mix til she's on 100% formula (if that's what you want to do). But it sounds like it's the bottle she has the issue with, not the milk. Have you tried a cup instead? Some babies prefer it to a bottle as it's faster flowing and not trying to imitate the nipple

thanks lovelymama. at first, it did seem to be the formula, she'd easily gulp down 6+oz of ebm, and had one bottle a day foroabput4 months, but recently tried formula and she'd only have an ounce or two . I will try mixing it as you sugggest, and if no luck, try formula from a cup. she drinks a bit of water from a doidy so maybe that might work. i hope nursery wouldn't mind that.

Help! Baby is 9 weeks today. Have been breatfeeding him but for the last to weeks using formula to top up at first but then began using it more and more often until only about one bf a day. Now I want to get back to bf. Does anyone know if I can do it? How do I increase my supply?
