Tried to feed 1 week old DD this morning; did left boob, wasn't sure it was "working" (couldn't hear usual "swallowing" noises) so tried right boob after, but milk from there seemed very rich (hindmilk?). She then sicked most of that up and still seemed hungry, so I went back to left again. It's been an hour and she's not settled and definitely seemes hungry again/still. I feel like I'm empty though! Any advice, which boob to give this time? Needless to say I'm new to this... also boobs this morning feel much less engorged than the past 2 days, is that normal or am I drying up??

less engorged is fine, prob just your supply settling
If you can I'd just write off this aternoon - grab a sandwich, drink & some chocolate biscuits and settle infront of tv for a feedathon!
You aren't empty, she is tiny & it can sometimes feel like they feed all the time, it's normal!!
Main things to watch out for if you are worried are a lack of wet & dirty nappies
Is your HV due to visit any time soon?

Thanks for the advice Stealth (how's the cub btw? I remember seeing your birth announcement). Was feeling a bit frantic there! Luckily midwife turned up just as I was trying to feed again, got some good advice from her. Feeling much more positive
