Apologies, as this has probably been asked many times before on here!

Going out tonight and needing to know how much will be safe to drink? Probably not drinking after about 11pm and will have to feed 8m DD around 4am.

Thanks .

Well I wouldn't get completely sloshed.

But most of the alcohol will have passed through your bloodstream by then so you should be fine. The baby may taste it but I don't think she'll be getting pissed off it.

I would say around 3 units should be fine-it will be all gone by the time you bf.
Keep in mind that some drinks have double shots of alcohol in them.
FWIW I sometimes had a glass of wine and dd would wake up unexpectedly early and I would bf.
Also and 8 mo her liver is quite mature so it will not cause any damage even if you have, say, one unit in your bloodstream.
Alcohol is considered to be compatible with breastfeeding by AAP- obviously not a bottle of vodka, but in moderation completely fine.
Have fun!
