hi my son had the snip yesterday and now he just cries and won't even try to breastfeed, has anyone else had this experience?

I would give him regular calpol and just keep offering the feeds. Once he realises breastfeeding doesn't hurt (actually could provide comfort and hormonal pain relief) he will get back to feeding again. It does take a few weeks for a better latch to become established, and you would be wise to seek some face-to-face help and support from a BF counsellor experienced in the area of tongue-tie.
