Anyone using or tried the friendly bacteria supplement ABC Dophilus? I read on here posted a few years back that this may help my 10 week olds nightime trapped wind problem.

I do with dd. Not for wind but for improved gut flora, immunity and foused it helps get round constipation. Great stuff, they need a helping hand in the winter with all the bugs about.

Thanks BlueBumedFly did you mix with formula and if so did you mix it when making your bottles with hot water? I have read that for optimal stability you shouldn't mix with hot milk so a bit scared to use it now.

If you heat it up you kill the probiotic effect. I have always used it with milk, formular now cows. Warm milk slightly from cold then put the powder in at the end and give it a good shake. Works for dd.

Thanks, was just a bit worried re being 'non sterile' (you know how you have to make up the formula with cooled boiled water because of that!)

ooooh so this really stuff works then? Getting fed up of the cycle of infacol gripe water etc etc, but can't find any reviews on the internet.

I really like it for DD, it always helps her recover faster from any tummy upsets or when she has had antibiotics, but she is almost 3 now. I first used it when she was very small as she had bad reflux and recurrent stomach bugs. I was first recommended by a cranial osteopath to try to break the cycle when DD was a few months old. Still use it now.
