Hi Im just looking for a bit of advice. My DS is nearly 9mths and is mixed fed. He has 3 bottles during the day and was having a breastfeed at bedtime. But yesterday he bit me and then refused to feed. Tried again tonight but he didnt want me. So I put him in his cot and he was asleep after 5 mins.
My concern is that he isnt getting any milk at bedtime.
My DD was totally bottle fed and still has cows milk in a cup with stories before bed. But Ive no idea what to do with a breastfed baby! Should I offer him a bottle or just leave it alone and maybe give him milk with his tea.
I hadnt intended on stopping the bedtime feed for sometime as I really enjoyed it and am a bit devastated to be honest. Any advice would be great.

Not an expert but I would imagine that your DS has had enough milk and food to satisfy him during the day and is simply not hungry.

My DD has cut back substantially on the milk (ex BF) since she got the hang of solids. She only has one proper BF a day now. At bedtime she will have a go but she's not really interested, presumably as she's just put away a huge meal!

If you want to keep up the BF, I would say to offer the breast at another time that is convenient for you, in replacement of one of the bottle feeds. First thing in the morning maybe?

Like I say I'm not an expert though, I expect someone cleverer will be along soon!

My DD1 doesn't have any milk at bedtime BTW, I think it's a nice thing to do as part of a routine but not something they need IYSWIM

"My DD has cut back substantially on the milk (ex BF) since she got the hang of solids."

Should be
"My DD has cut back substantially on the milk (exclusively BF) since she got the hang of solids."

It wasn't very clear.
