Still producing milk after stopping feeding.

I breast-fed for 3 months then had to stop abruptly because I had to start taking medication that can be passed through to the baby. 2 & 1/2 yrs later I'm still leaking every day and have to waer breast-pads. Been to consultant who was stumped. I have a feeling my story is more common than the medics are aware. Several of my friends mothers have claimed they produced milk for yrs after stopping feeding.
Anybody else still producing or heard about this?

I've heard about it: was once changing my then tiny ds1 in a ladies' loo. He was grizzling a bit and, when I came out, another lady said that she started leaking whenever she heard a small baby, even though she'd stopped feeding her own more than 2 years earlier.
