Sainsburys recalling Apimil 1 formula??

I was told by a work colleague that Sainsburys have withdrawn Aptimil 1 while they do tests on it following a concern...anyone else experienced/been told this??

Boots and tesco are still selling it....

Anyone know why sainsburys have done this?

Its probably another one of those "dont eat tomatos they give you cancer" type things but when it concerns your little ones you have to atleast check these things out....

Surprised nobody reploied to this subject... Aptamil 1 was out of stock in most shops, e.g. tesco, sainsbury, morrisons.....

Has anyone heard anything??? They are back in stock now...

Perhaps you could get more information on this before worring people...

We've been feeding our 1 week old premature twins on this and obviously now I'm starting to panic.

My mother in law bought some this afternoon from Sainsbury's....

I'm not saying you shouldn't have raised the point but without a few more details (ie how did you friend find this out etc) all you've done is scare us.

mrspoppins · 27/02/2010 23:29

Why not ring company and ask for reassurance...either Aptimil or Sainsbury's?
There is absolutely nothing to google...

zebedeethezebra · 28/02/2010 14:20

Mine got delivered by Waitrose yesterday.

JuliaGulia my intention was not to scare people... I merely wanted to compare notes so to speak with other mothers....like you.

My friend that told me is a childrens nurse aswell as a mother and I am quite sure that if there was anything major wrong with it they wouldnt be giving it to babies at her work.... I am just very curious thats all what Sainsburys concerns are....as a mother i want to know.

I have obviously rang Aptamil they say theres nothing wrong...and ive asked at my local Sainsburys they were very vague with there info.

So does anyone know what sainsburys are making a fuss over?

There might be an issue with a particular batch of formula, and they have traced it to supplies sent to Sainsbury's.

This happens from time to time.
